To celebrate Print Austin, a month-long, citywide exploration of the most democratic form of fine art-making, Grayduck Gallery is showcasing the work of two artists with an atypical approach to printmaking. The pieces in their exhibit “Out of the Ruined Place” find beauty in unlikely settings.

While Craig uses an invented printing process on discarded plastic to create a “trash reef” installation, Torgerson explores human impermanence with serigraphs, wheat paste graffiti and photography.

Details: Opening reception 7 to 10 p.m. Friday. 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. Sunday through Feb. 14. 2213 E. Cesar Chavez St. 512-826-5334, grayduckgallery.com.
