This month marks five years since Austin became the largest no-kill city in the nation, which is cause for celebration. The party will jam out with some of Nashville’s up-and-coming musicians, as well as many from Austin, including Folk Uke, the Texas KGB, Dan Dyer and surprise guests. Plus, you’ll get to enjoy dinner from local food trucks, snap fun pictures in an open-air photo booth and try to win raffle packages.

Although Kaxan, known for his CityDog Austin Facebook page, will be one of the co-hosts, other rescue pets will have to stay at home.

Details: 7 p.m. Saturday. $30-$45. Vintage Innovations, 1409 W. Third St. austinpetsalive.org/events/no-kill-anniversary-party.
