The CMT Music Awards are returning to Austin in a few short weeks, and this time, the show is coming to the University of Texas campus.

The award show will take over Moody Center on April 7, but a slew of events leading up to the big night are available to attend. One such event is a taping of "CMT Crossroads" at the UT Tower on April 5. Last year, the episode was recorded in the middle of Congress Avenue downtown.

NEEDTOBREATHE and Jordan Davis will perform at the university with a live audience.

"Hosting an awards show that celebrates the music that the fans love most has been an honor and I know this year will be another unforgettable night,” Ballerini said last month.
